What does it mean to be an at-large delegate?

As an at-large delegate, that means you did not have to compete in a state preliminary competition, but instead went through an application process to be appointed your title. It also means you are solely responsible for fulfilling your requirements of a state delegate. This includes but it not limited to paying your full, national entry fee; acquiring all required competition wardrobe; coordinating your travel to and from the host city of the national pageant; adhering to all rules and regulations of a state titleholder that may include community service hours requirements, fundraising for community partners, etc. MNUS will provide all the tools you’ll need to reach your goal as well as give advice and answer questions along the way!

We DO NOT REQUIRE ad sales and tickets sales. But doing so can help you towards your fee. The following are programs we have in place to help you raise these funds:

1) Well Wishes: These are ‘good luck’ messages that friends and family can purchase for you for $20 each and every dime goes towards your entry fee. These will then be displayed on your personal delegate webpage of missnationalus.com!

2) Ad Sales: We do not require delegates to sell ads HOWEVER, if you do, 50% of each ad sale will go towards your entry fee. For example, a full page ad is $350, $175 of that will go towards your entry fee. These can be sold to local businesses, family and friends.

3) Sponsorship Letter: We have put together a sponsorship letter for you to send to local businesses and organizations to help you raise funds towards your fee. This does require some work on your end but if you persevere you can accomplish anything!
